Hello SYAA families!

Believe it or not we have already started preparing for our 2024 SOFTBALL season!! We will be playing in the Southeast League again. Look for registration to start January 1st and close by March 1st, as we need to let the league know how many teams we will have by March 15th.

The one big change coming for next year is the eligibility date has changed from January 1st to September 1st. We ask that you register your child for the appropriate age group. Once registration is closed and we know how many girls we have, how many coaches we have, we will then determine if any girls need to flex up to fill out teams. This will be determined by working with coaches as we want to make sure that all girls are receiving optimum playing time at the appropriate skill level so they can be successful.

The season typically starts the first of May, and depending on weather practices may start the beginning of April. Our coaches try to ensure that everyone gets equal playing time but please remember practice attendance, effort, and engagement are factors in this.

Eligibility details are listed below.

8U - Cannot turn 9 before September of 2023

10U - Cannot turn 11 before September of 2023

12U - Cannot turn 13 before September of 2023

14U - Cannot turn 15 before September of 2023

18U - Cannot turn 19 before September of 2023

COACHING REQUIREMENTS

All coaches will need to be approved and registered as a coach with SYAA with a completed background check on file.
